LOGITECH OPTIONS M1 FOR MAC
MX Keys for Mac is a Bluetooth keyboard with numeric keypad. In this article we ask Russ Hughes, the owner of an Apple Magic Keys keyboard to test Logitech MX Keys For Mac. You might want to try that if you are having issues in that regard. In our article Logitech Make The Wireless Keyboard 'Apple Should Have Made’ we talked about the Logitech MX Keys for Mac as a viable alternative to the Apple Magic Keyboard.
LOGITECH OPTIONS M1 UPDATE
I think they have provided a new update since then so that may have fixed things.
LOGITECH OPTIONS M1 INSTALL
The software side of things are fine no issues, I just did a clean install of Logi options and it's been working flawlessly since. But in my opinion it's either poor quality control or part of the design, how is it not normal if I can find 10 clips on YouTube showcasing the same issue. They did say the scroll wheel issue was not normal so your milage may vary. There weren't any issues with the functionalityĪs mentioned in the original post this is already my second one and it has identical scroll wheel issues to the first, there are many clips online showing a similar issue so in the end I didn't think it was worth it as there would be a high chance nothing would change. They were nice enough to transfer me to a customer agent in Australia, but I'd have to start the whole conversation again so I didn't bother replacing it.

LOGITECH OPTIONS M1 SERIES
For some weird reason the Logi website likes to default to United States, I clearly remember changing to region to Australia BEFORE making the post then after a series of email exchanges only realised down the line that I'm not in region. They offered to replace it only to realise that I don't actually live in United States. I'm not too bothered by it because I don't hear it all the time, and when I do it's pretty quiet.

I just want to know from a rep, because I know in general some "issues" that exist in products are just due the consequence of a design or something, but the idea is that most people won't notice it at all because it's so minor. Considering many people report the same issue online (With even recordings too), I'm somewhat convinced it's part of the design, as there are very few people who claim that they don't have this issue. The second mice I got had rattling out of the box. The first one I got didn't have the issue then after a week of use it started rattling so I returned it the following week after. I've had this issue with two MXM3 mices bought from different suppliers. This is with smart shift disabled so only one mode. But whenever you keep the scroll wheel at rachet mode then scroll it fast you get a rattle or like a soft purring sound. I just paired with the second option and it worked.Īlso just a side note, not sure if it's quality control or just part of the design. So I unpaired the mouse, but the mouse thinks it's still paired so I couldn't repair with option 1 for some reason. I also had trouble pairing initially, connected it to option 1 and the Logi settings wouldn't pickup. If that is the case please update the app to a universal app as soon as possible as all future Macs will be ARM based anyways.

I suspect the main problem is probably because it's running as an intel application emulated though rosetta, so compatibility may not be 100%. I did restart the Mac which does seem to fix the issue although it's not consistent (so sometimes it doesn't fix anything). I tried killing the Logi options on activity monitor then reopening it, but doesn't do anything. I can't quite find a consistent solution to the problem. When ever you remap the buttons to do something else sometimes it doesn't work at all sometimes it does. While the mice works fine the additional buttons don't work consistently. Recently got an M1 MBP with the Mx master 3.
